Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

Meet Dr. Alex Kirbach, PT, DPT, CSCS

Hi, I'm Dr. Alex Kirbach!

I wanted to tell you a little about me and my journey.

I was born and raised in Kirkland, WA and I was a varsity pitcher in high school. I have experience with high school, collegiate, and Olympic level athletes and am especially passionate about working with baseball players and other overhead athletes. I help these players to recover quickly from injury, get back on the field/court as quickly as possible, and reduce risk of future injuries.

I completed my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from University of Southern California in 2015 and have a strong background in manual therapy and movement analysis. In 2016 I completed the first ever foreign residency program in Beijing, China. This allowed me the opportunity to work with China's Olympic Men’s Canoe, Women’s Kayak, and Climbing teams in preparation for the Tokyo Olympic Games.

I am a Mariners fan as well as a 3rd generation Seakhawks fan and being at MetLife Stadium for the super bowl was one of the best experiences of my life! I enjoy hikes in the summer, snowboarding in the winter, working out at the gym, and cooking on the weekends.

This past spring and summer with gyms closed I started to get really into running while studying to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. After dealing with some lateral knee pain limiting my mileage I ended up blowing through my half-marathon goal in under 4 weeks. Three months later I ran my first marathon on a whim, lost over 20 pounds, and am not looking back!
